How to convert your peptide dose to syringe units
Injectable peptide dosing is measured in mcg (micrograms), but you draw from a syringe measured in units (mL volume). The conversion depends on how much bacteriostatic water you added.
Formula:
Syringe units = (Dose in mcg ÷ Concentration in mcg/mL) × 100
Example: GHK-Cu 1 mg dose, 2 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL BAC water
- Concentration = 2 mg ÷ 2 mL = 1 mg/mL = 1,000 mcg/mL
- Dose in mcg = 1 mg × 1,000 = 1,000 mcg
- Volume = 1,000 mcg ÷ 1,000 mcg/mL = 1.0 mL = 100 units on a 100-unit syringe
